These are some of the questions I have been asked during presentations. One of my biggest problems is that I have atendency to assume too much when explaining Web 2.0.
What is a Wiki?
A Wiki is website that includes the collaboration of work from many different authors. A wiki site allows anyone to edit, delete, or modify the content on the web. (The first wiki creator named the site after a chain of buses in Hawaii; Wiki means "quick" in Hawaiian.) You can actually change the information in this Wiki if allowed to. (just email me at rschultz at csub dot com)
What is Web 2.0?
Web 2.0 is any application that is online (on the interenet) that allows for a variety of collaborations. I like to think of it as "Our Desktop" rather than "My Desktop" We, the users, of the internet create and change the content on the web. Most Web 2.0 applications are free.
